Comprehensive Support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students
Texas Hearing Institute provides school-based audiology support to help students access sound, technology, and classroom instruction more effectively.
Services include:
- Audiological evaluations
- 504 evaluations
- Hearing aid fitting, adjustments, custom earmolds, and maintenance
- Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT) evaluation, fitting, and support
Our speech therapy team provides evidence-based services aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Services include:
- Evidence-based, IEP-aligned therapy
- Full and individual evaluations
- Spoken language and sign-based services
- Supervision of assistants and clinical fellows
Texas Hearing Institute offers itinerant Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) services to support students, educators, and school teams.
Services include:
- Individualized instruction
- Collaborative and IEP-aligned support
- DHH eligibility evaluations
- In-services and trainings
